About This Project

Costilla Kitchen
This dark and dated kitchen did not reflect this family’s light and bright personalities. To create a large and inviting space to gather friends and family, we removed a large post in the center of the kitchen and added an oversized 12’ island. We used off-white cabinets for the perimeter cabinetry and light-stained oak cabinets for the island. We created a comprehensive lighting plan to bring much needed light into the space and added recessed lighting as well pendants, in-cabinet and under-cabinet lighting. Beautiful quartzite countertops and backsplash made this kitchen feel warm and inviting. An oversized sink with double faucets created a functional space for the whole family to cook together. We added an appliance cabinet to make sure that the countertops remained clutter free. We also incorporated a hidden bar cabinet to make this a dream space for entertaining.

Costilla Entryway
This home was in desperate need of an inviting front door and a drop-zone for coats, backpacks and shoes. We removed the old hallway closet and replaced it with custom mudroom cabinetry to provide a perfect place for the family to unload and store coats, backpacks and shoes when entering the house. We designed a custom iron door with glass panels to give the entry a modern farmhouse design.

Costilla Hangout space
This family’s tween really needed a space to hangout and entertain friends. We created a fun and relaxed lounging space with a hanging chair, soft layered rugs, wall decals, entertainment center and fun lighting. See the reveal video here. Her reaction is absolutely priceless!!

Costilla teen bedroom
This family’s tween wanted a light and bright bedroom makeover. We created this dream bedroom by incorporating white bedding, soft rugs, fun wall decals and décor, whimsical lighting fixtures and a makeup station fit for a teen queen.

Costilla Secondary Bathroom
We redesigned this dated bathroom to feel fresh and modern by using large scale Carrera porcelain tile throughout the space including the floors, backsplash and shower wall. We incorporated color with a blue vanity and matte black fixtures, lighting and hardware. Lastly, we brought whimsy into the space with a wall mounted faucet and a concrete vessel sink.
